Cookie Policy
Last Updated: May 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Cues Technologies Inc. ("GradingPal," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website at https://www.gradingpal.com.
Please read this alongside our Privacy Policy. For EEA/UK users, our EU/UK Privacy Notice also applies.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and give site owners insight into how visitors use their site.
We also use localStorage — browser storage that works similarly to cookies but is never sent to our servers — to remember your cookie consent choice.
What We Don't Do
- We do not use advertising or tracking pixels of any kind
- We do not share cookie data with ad networks or data brokers
- We do not use cookies to build profiles of individual students
- We do not use Google Analytics or any Google advertising products on this website
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
These are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They do not require your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| gradingpal_cookie_consent | GradingPal | Stores your cookie preference (accepted / declined) so the consent banner is not shown on every visit. Stored in browser localStorage, not transmitted to our servers. | Persistent |
Analytics (optional — opt out any time)
These cookies help us understand how teachers find and use our marketing website so we can improve it. They are enabled by default. You can opt out at any time using the cookie banner or the instructions below.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_* | PostHog | Tracks page views, feature usage, and session behaviour on the marketing website to help us understand which content and features are most useful to teachers. | 1 year |
Note about the GradingPal app (app.gradingpal.ai): The GradingPal application uses Mixpanel for product analytics. Mixpanel is governed separately by the app's own terms and our Privacy Policy. Teacher and student data is never shared with Mixpanel in identifiable form.
Managing Your Preferences
Change or withdraw consent
To change your cookie choice, clear your browser's localStorage for gradingpal.com and reload the page — the consent banner will reappear. In most browsers:
- Chrome / Edge: DevTools → Application → Local Storage → gradingpal.com → delete
gradingpal_cookie_consent - Firefox: DevTools → Storage → Local Storage → gradingpal.com
- Safari: Develop → Show Web Inspector → Storage → Local Storage
Opt out of PostHog
You can opt out of PostHog analytics directly at posthog.com/privacy. Declining cookies on our banner also prevents PostHog from loading entirely.
Browser-level cookie controls
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Instructions for the most common ones:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We currently do not alter our behaviour in response to DNT signals as there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting them. Declining cookies on our banner is the most reliable way to opt out of analytics on this site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we add new categories of cookies that require consent, we will reset the consent banner so you can make a fresh choice.
